Scissor & Blade sharpening is a highly skilled profession, carried out with precision on specialised machinery sourced from across the globe. Scissors are finished either polishing machines or by hand often on very expensive stones. A skilled sharpener is a craftsman and will take time and pride in working of your precious equipment. Our sharpener has been trained to service all types of Scissors sold at The Scissor Boutique. Great investment has been made on machinery that is not portable, so this service is not offered at events. Our Sharpener has been trained in the USA and Germany in the techniques required to maintain your collection of Scissors. Please note speed sharpening is not a service we offer. Allow enough time for our sharpener to do the necessary work and understand you may at times have a wait for this service. We are here to advise you on sharpening and care of your Scissors and blades. If you have any questions just ask us as we are happy to help you.

German Style Bevel Edge with Mico Serration £14.50 – Roseline / Ehaso Style Scissor / European Style Scissors etc.
Hand Finished Pro Edge £15.00 – Bevel Edge with inside line – Hair / Beauty / Barbering/ Dog grooming special purpose etc
Hand Finished Pro Edge with Micro Serration £18.00 – Geib Butter Cut basic Scissors etc. Durable edge for thickness
Convex – High polished £18.00 – Fine finishing Scissor for fine to medium thickness
Convex with Micro Serration – Finishing Scissor with more durability and grip
Micro Serration only £6.00 – suitability should be discussed with one of our advisors
Parts extra – quotations for parts / spares are available on request. We endeavour to replace with genuine spares not basic sharpeners kit spares. This ensures longer life of your Scissor.
Mike is experienced and will know the edge required for the Scissors you book with him. This is a guide price. Mike will not expect you to list what is required as users are not usually aware of the edge they have on Scissors.
BLADE SHARPENING
Price per blade £8.50
Blades cannot be accepted with missing / broken teeth
All Sharpening orders must be well packaged and listed and sent to the workshop with appropriate value cover. We cannot except reasonability / liability for orders that are not delivered or that are inadequately packaged. The responsibility remains with the sender at all times.
Carriage – Return Carriage to you is from £7.00 by DPD UK Mainland – please check with us for more details on carriage.

off and collection are as any other appointment – at the time given. Late arrival without notice is
seen as a missed appointment. Missed appointment charges will be made at Mike’s discretion.
