Measurements and specifications are given with care and in good faith. The actual model of scissor displayed on our website is photographed against a ruler to ensure you see the size and have the best guide to order the required length. We describe all items in details with as much specification as possible. Some manufacturers supply more details than others however we do our best to supply as much up to date information as possible. Any measurements and weights should be taken as approximate and these may be subject to small changes without prior notice as manufacturers can make variations on any model at any given time. Due to circumstances beyond our control notification may not be give, however we work hard to ensure updates are made at speed to our website. Some manufacturers include the finder rest in the standard measurement and some do not as that finger rest may be removable. At the time of sale the information given is as accurate and up to date as possible. If you have questions or need more clarification on any specification please contact us as we are happy to assist.

Specifications can change from one batch to another due to circumstances beyond our control. This could be material or finishes. Finishes on Hand Crafted pieces may carry markings which could be seen as cosmetic imperfection but this is a feature of hand crafted items by skilled craftsmen. These marks do not detract from the quality or working life of the scissor. This gives each piece unique individuality and the assurance of such talented handy work. These specifications are minor but and may or may not be noticeable to some individuals. This could relate to the actual size, shape, colour, edge, metal type, finish, finger rest etc. If you feel you need more detail on the individual item you are purchasing, please ask we are happy to discuss each piece in greater detail, especially on out unique handcrafted pieces.

Descriptions such as Silver, Gold, Chrome, Plasma, Titanium etc. refer to the colour or finish only, not the material that the items are crafted in.

Goods are described as accurately as possible and a high standard of quality control is in place as our manufacturers have been carefully chosen for the quality of the products. Items will have been checked and double checked, especially with regards to sharpness. None of our Scissors require sharpening or setting up before use as they are tested for sharpness and set up to the correct tension for use. Altering the tension can lead to damage so never reset the tension without advice. We are always happy to advise.

Each item will be checked and packed, lubricants are often present on the blades or in the screws for the protection of the product. Sometimes these lubricants can be seen and may not always be clear. These lubricants may also attract colouration and loose particles from the case or packing in transit. If this should happen, please just remove with a tissue and re lubricate ready for use. This should be accepted as standard practice.

Prices are listed for goods, services and delivery on our website and these are generally correct, however if for some reason an error should occur you will be notified. You will be given the opportunity to cancel your order or make changes to the order at this point, or continue with the order at the correct or current price. In the unlikely event that we are unable supply goods at the price shown we will inform you. If payment has been made you will be refunded without delay.

The receiver of goods is responsible for local import duty and taxes under the governing laws of the end destination country. The Scissor Boutique is unable to advise on the amount due. This information must be sourced from the destination. Goods are not returnable/ refundable owning to the receiver failing to pay local taxes. No exceptions made for non-payment of local taxes or duty.

Delivery is generally by DPD or Royal Mail and will be prompt – however if you have not received your package in the UK within 7 days or for outside the UK within 21 days please email or telephone us so we can track and trace. Whilst every effort will be made to meet delivery times/dates, we do not accept liability for the consequences of any delays for any goods or services.

Returns if you should need to return your order, please notify us within 3 working days and return in the correct case/packaging and in the condition in which it was received. State the reason clearly for the return of the goods.  This should be done within 7 working days of receiving the order. Returns outside these time frames are unacceptable. If you purchase at an event and you need to return the same applies. Goods are returned at the customers expense and liability for safe return is with the customer.

Refunds will be processed in the same manner as the payment unless otherwise stated and the refund will be processed within 14 working days of receipt of returned goods whilst they are in the condition as new with packaging. This does not apply to services supplied by The Scissor Boutique. If the packaging is not in the condition you would expect then please do not sign for the package as being in perfect condition.

Stock and availability we endeavour to hold a good selection and a vast amount of stock to accommodate demand. However, some items are not available all of the time or are only available at selected periods as special editions or limited editions. If you are looking for something particular and cannot see it on the site or it appears out of stock please call or email us to check or find a suitable alternative.
