Packing your sharpening
If you have the proper cases or boxes for your equipment then please use the appropriate casing. If not bubble wrap and tape will protect your things in transit. Make sure nothing is sticking out and that everything is well taped and covered. Good quality padded envelopes are worth investing in as your equipment deserves the best protection you can give it. Newspaper is also useful for packing if you use enough sheets to ensure proper padding.
Make sure the service you use to send your scissors and blades with covers the value of the goods against loss as it is your responsibility to ensure safe arrival of your equipment to us.
What to include in the package to us:
Your contact name - as we like to know who you are. Your telephone numbers (mobile/home/shop) as we may need to call you. Your email address as it is nice to be able to email if we have any concerns or need to convey something as you may be to busy to talk to us on the telephone. Your business name and invoice address for the VAT invoice for your accounts. Return postal address if it should be different so we can return the equipment safely to you ready for work.
It would help us if you include a brief note with a description of your goods and any special requests that you may have. If you have any queries or wish us to call you before we start work on your equipment please state this in the note or on this sharpening form. Please write clearly and legibly so we can understand everything.
Details of how you can pay us.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. We can either telephone /email / messenger you when we have completed the job. Alternatively you can pay via PayPal. Whatever suits you best.
Postage & packaging is calculated taking the weight and contents of the pack into consideration and the location of the packs destination.
Average UK return is £6.00
Outside UK please ask for quotation.

The Service offered by THE SCISSOR BOUTIQUE is quality motivated and may not be the speediest service available. However we can guarantee a high rate of satisfaction due to the time and care taken with each and every piece of equipment. Everything is checked by hand and inspected under magnification, cleaned, and sharpened to the highest standards, replacement parts fitted if required and everything is tested and checked and double checked to our very high standards of quality control.
We endeavour to keep turnaround time to a minimum however the quality of your sharpening is our priority. If time is really important to you please call first (01553 611380) to see what the current return times are.
During busy periods this may be longer so we advise you to call us to avoid any disappointment. We take great pride in our work and as far as we are concerned "If a job is worth doing, it is worth doing well". Those of you who are only interested in the speed and spending as little on your equipment as possible – please use another sharpener as this is not the right service for you.
We will do everything to ensure your satisfaction and when you are pleased we hope that you will tell your friends.
If however for some reason we do not meet your standards please tell us within 7 days of receiving your goods and return immediately so we can put things right for you.
We are sure that this will not be necessary but we do offer this guarantee to you anyway.
